Learning From My Gambling Blunders
First to clarify why I write this article. I have been gambling online or at land based casinos for many years. I have learned, the fixation can grab a hold of you and you won’t even realize it up until you are flat broke. Especially if you’re on a winning run. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and still on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It seems you’re just having fun until you start to track your losses and the guilt sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become queasy in your stomach and the more you attempt the faster you are deprived.
When you notice that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to be beaten, do not tell yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan almost never ever functions. Say you are betting on slots, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. Don’t go over that limit, regardless how alluring. If you happen to succeed, put that in a separate pot. Do not risk your winnings no matter what. Once you have gone through your primary set limit, call it a day. Head out, regardless if it is on the net or at a brick and mortar casino, don’t stay around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be another day, a different time.
Keep in mind, wagering is supposed to be FUN not exhausting, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan not afford the cost, don’t even begin.
