Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is a fascinating story to the Cambodia casinos that sit just across the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall wagering is prohibited. Eight gambling dens are based in a generally tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent spot, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal capital accrued from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; although, funding sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 1700, and although visas are allegedly necessary to pass, there are ways around this, as is correct of most border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia casinos premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship casino, contains one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty tables. The Naga gambling hall is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slots and 96 gaming tables, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international resort and hotel building that contains numerous comforts accompanying the gambling hall, which contains ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty slot machines and eighty eight gaming tables.
